Who we are

For over 15 years, our Korean community has been a part of Žilina, working, building friendships, and embracing Slovak culture and people. Over time, our Slovak and international friends became more curious about our language, traditions, and way of life—just as we had learned and adapted to theirs.

We realized there was a growing need for deeper cultural exchange and education, not only for us but also for those around us. Our friends and colleagues wanted to learn Korean, understand our customs, and connect with us more meaningfully. At the same time, many Koreans in Žilina needed support with Slovak language and integration into everyday life.

With this in mind, we decided to establish the Korean Community Center Žilina—a place where cultures meet, people learn from each other, and strong connections are built.

KCCZA

Korean Community Center Žilina

KCCZA, as a civic association, is constantly evolving and moving forward. Our journey, which began in rented spaces, is now taking a new direction thanks to our partners who have helped secure new facilities for us. This step will allow us to focus better on teaching while strengthening networking among our members. We believe the new space will provide more opportunities to expand our activities and connect with a wider community that shares our passion for the Korean language and culture.

We are open to new members who would like to join our goals and contribute to creating a dynamic environment for both personal and professional growth. At KCCZA, we see each new member as an opportunity to bring fresh ideas and solutions that will help us face challenges and succeed in our ambitions. Our community is strong because of the active individuals who contribute to its formation and growth.

Let’s work together.
